Desktop with RSS for Classroom/Teacher/Student

These tools are useful to help manage student blogs, email, read the news, and access other web-based resources. The RSS feature enables content changes on dynamic sites to display on your desktop as the changes or updates are made.

RSS Aggregator

An aggregator is a web-site that enables you to keep up with changes on dynamic websites (blogs, news, wikis). These sites must offer a syndication option. A site will identify that is syndicated by either placing a hyperlink to "RSS" or by displaying a symbol lsuch as one of the following:

Google Reader (If you have a Google account and other friends/faculty have one as well, this is a particularly nice reader. You can share items with others in your address book assuming they have a Google account.)
